Durham Business School fun-run success
(1 February 2006)
Members of Durham Business School who participated in the Great North Run have been congratulated for their huge success.
Louise Skinner of the MIND Events Team, the charity which the Business School chose to run for, has confirmed the total raised by the fun runners. Team Durham raised a grand total of £8,471.04 for MIND as well as increasing awareness of the charity. The Business School’s contribution has made up 10% of the total funds MIND received via the Great North Run. This money really will make a difference to the 1 in 4 people that suffer from mental distress at some point in their lives The School would like to give a huge well done to Tony Cockerill who raised a staggering total of £1,320 for MIND through his sponsorship in the Great North Run.
