Emeritus Professor Douglas R Jones

The University announces with deep regret the death of Emeritus Professor Douglas R Jones on Friday 25 November 2005.

Professor Jones was appointed as a Lecturer in Theology in 1951, promoted to a Senior Lectureship in 1963 and to a Chair in 1964. He held this post until his retirement in 1985. The funeral will be held at 11.00am on Friday 2 December 2005 in St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh.
