Bishop gives lecture

Bishop Stephen Sykes, Principal of St. John's College, Durham, delivered the annual Bernard Gilpin Lecture on Monday in the college's Leech Hall.

The Bernard Gilpin Lecture is given each year by an invited lecturer on a pastoral theology topic so as to relate theology and ministry, Bishop Sykes topic being ‘Systematics as General Practice Theology'.

It is sponsored jointly by the Department of Theology and Religion, Cranmer Hall, Ushaw College and the Wesley Study Centre and is open to everyone.
