(27 May 2005)

The latest university league table, published by the Times, indicates that Durham University is in the top 10, as it was last year. It shares this space with Bristol University, each with 841 points out of a possible 1000.

The Vice-Chancellor, Sir Kenneth Calman said, “Durham is delighted to remain in the top 10 universities in the UK, and it remains as the strongest university in the region. Durham continues to perform at the highest international levels. “

Oxford University continues its reign at the top of the table for fourth year, keeping its nearest rivals Cambridge University at an arms length.
