KimonoExpert at Durham’s Oriental Museum!

Gallery talk by Helen Stewart Oriental Museum, 2pm Saturday 21 May 2005

Durham University’s Oriental Museum is to be the venue for a fascinating gallery talk by kimono expert Helen Stewart. The talk, which coincides with the Museum’s extremely popular Exquisite Kimono exhibition, will offer visitors a unique opportunity to learn about this most distinctive of Japanese garments from a well- known expert.

Craig Barclay, Curator said: “We are delighted that Helen Stewart has agreed to give a gallery talk at the Oriental Museum. It Promises to be an exciting and informative experience for everyone who attends – whether they be interested in fashion, history or Japanese culture.”
