Honorary and visiting appointments announced by Durham Business School

Durham Business School are pleased to announce the following new appointments:

Visiting Fellow - Dr Ibrahim Stevens

Dr Stevens is an Adviser in Econometric Modelling and Financial Stability at the Bank of England Centre for Central Banking Studies. Prior to joining the Bank of England, he was a PhD Candidate and Tutor in the Department of Economics and Finance at University of Durham. His research interests are in International Financial Economics with particular emphasis on Economic and Stock Market Integration, stock market volatility and the estimation of international asset pricing models.

Visiting Reader - Dr Ian McCarthy

Dr McCarthy is currently Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor of Technology Management at Simon Fraser University in Canada. He has a distinguished academic record as well as significant experience in industry.

Visiting Professor - Mr Dennis Shuler

Mr Shuler is Vice President, Human Resources, Global Beauty Care and Global Feminine Care at Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, USA. Mr Shuler has a wealth of experience in Human Resource Management and has been a member of the Business School Advisory Board since 2003.

Visiting Professor - Professor John Kimball Friend

Professor Kimball Friend set up and now runs the family business, Stradspan Limited, a company which offers a range of services relating to strategic decision support spanning the fields of consultancy, facilitation, software, training and research. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Lincoln School of Management in their Centre for Applied Development Studies.

Visiting Professor - Professor Jack Cohen

Professor Cohen is an internationally-known reproductive Biologist, currently Honorary Professor in the Mathematics Institute at Warwick University. He has acted as a consultant to top science fiction authors designing alien creatures and ecologies to help them avoid scientific blunders. He is frequently heard on BBC radio programmes and has participated in the production of several TV programmes.
