Lindsey Hudspeth

It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of undergraduate Lindsey Hudspeth who has tragically died following surgery, aged only 21.

On behalf of the University, Sir Kenneth Calman, Vice Chancellor, Professor Martyn Evans, Principal of John Snow College, and Dr Karen Wesson, Vice Principal, extend sincere sympathy to Lindsey's family, her fellow students on her course, and to her boyfriend Ian Liddle.

Professor Evans said : “Everyone at John Snow College is greatly saddened at the news of this untimely death.” Lindsey was a final year student of Health and Human Sciences, and a member of Snow College.

Lindsey's funeral is to be held at 10.30 am on Thursday 17th March, at Tudhoe Chapel, Spennymoor.

Her boyfriend Ian has set up a website in memory of Lindsey, with an on-line Remembrance Book, and those wishing to contribute to the book or to make a donation in lieu of flowers can do so at www.lindseyhudspeth.co.uk
