Trailblazer travel card is now available to qualifying Queen’s students

Stockton Council has agreed that its Trailblazer concessionary travel card which is aimed at promoting public transport usage among young residents aged 16-19 years old, is now available to Queen’s Campus students in this age group.

The new Stockton Trailblazer public transport pass can now be purchased for only £10 by Durham University students aged under 20 and living in the Stockton Council area. It is valid until 31st. August 2005. The Trailblazer card provides half price travel 24 any time, seven days a week and covers most bus services in the boroughs of Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar and Cleveland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

The pass also covers certain journeys within Darlington (Monday-Friday only) during Darlington area college times, boarding the bus before 10.00 p.m.

The pass can be used on all scheduled bus services operated by ARRIVA, Stagecoach, Compass Royston, Green Bus and Leven Valley. The Trailblazer scheme is an initiative by the Stockton-on-Tees Bus Quality Partnership.

Trailblazer cards can be obtained from the Stagecoach and Arriva Travel Centres on Stockton High Street. Applicants must provide proof of age and evidence of residency in Stockton-on-Tees.
