Campus tours are an online success

(27 July 2004)

Durham University's weekly campus tours continue to be very popular with potential students seeking to find out more about university life.

Demand for places on the walking tours of the University in Durham City and the Queen's Campus in Stockton has increased since an online booking service was introduced.

Each campus tour is directed by student guides who lead each group on a tour taking in all the major sites of the University. The tour starts with an introductory talk by an Admissions Adviser from the Undergraduates Admissions Office.

Tours normally take place on Wednesdays at both sites, though some are conducted on Fridays. Tours at both sites start at 2.00 p.m. and last for approximately two hours in Durham and one hour at the Queen's Campus.

The tours run throughout the year and pre-booking is essential. To book a place visit : Admissions

For those who cannot visit the University in person the web site contains an image bank which provides a virtual tour of each campus. There is also a wealth of information about the subjects and courses at Durham and the Queen's Campus, Stockton, financial support for students and guidance on the application process.
