Facing the issues

(21 May 2004)

Borderlands - the journal of theology and education - published annually by St.John's College is published today and contains a rich menu of articles with contributions from, among others, Cherie Booth, Jeff Astley, Christopher Hancock and Ian Leigh.

The third edition reflects the vision of College Principal, Bishop Stephen Sykes, who encourages debate between theology and a wide-range of other academic subjects.

Cherie Booth's 2004 Borderlands Lecture features in this edition and offers personal insights into various aspects of 21st century justice Britain.

The Relationship between theology and business is discussed by Robin McKenzie and Christopher Hancock offers an insight into issues raised by Border Controls in 2004.

"It is another packed Borderlands and I am delighted with it. I hope that it makes a small but highly significant contribution to a wider theological debate which touches every aspect of our life and living," said Bishop Sykes today.
