School of Engineering receives funding award from the EU

The School of Engineering has been awarded over 1.2 million Euros from the EU for a Research Training Network running over a period of 4 years.

The research and training project, which will be co-ordinated by the University of Durham, will focus on the mechanics of unsaturated soils for civil engineering applications. The project will involve 6 Universities and 5 industrial partners from across Europe (including Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland and the UK).
