Chemist awarded the Josef Loschmidt Prize

Dr Mike Crampton , Reader in Chemistry, has been awarded the Josef Loschmidt Prize (£2,000) by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The award is made biennially for excellence in physical organic
chemistry, broadly construed to embrace organic structures, reactivity
and reaction mechanisms.
Dr David Parker, Head of the Department of Chemistry said, "This is excellent news and a suitable reward for Dr Crampton's distiguished contributions to the development of physical organic
chemistry in Durham since arriving here in the mid 1960's."
