Two members of staff in Earth Sciences have recently received awards.

Dr Ken McCaffrey has been awarded the Murchison Fund for 2004 by the Geological Society of London, the UK professional organisation responsible for Earth Sciences in the UK. The award is for excellence in international research.

Dr Jonathan Imber has been awarded the Clough Fund by the Edinburgh Geological Society for excellence in published research.
