Funding to develop new relationships with business and the community

(4 June 2003)

If you have a project of potential commercial interest to a business, you may be eligible for funding from Durham University's Partnership Venture Fund.

Durham University's Partnership Venture Fund can help you identify potential commercial projects arising from the University's knowledge base, and help bridge the gap between the development of academic ideas, concepts and inventions to the point where they are of potential commercial interest to businesses. The fund offers

  1. financial support to agreed projects and initiatives which involve the establishment of new partnerships or the development of existing ones with businesses and other external organisations.
  2. financial support to projects which enable the University to better understand the needs of a potential community partner and enable it to develop a firmer foundation for partnership.
If you think you have a project which may be eligible, or if you would like further information about PVF, please contact Tess Mantzoros on x46092 or Rebecca Sanderson on x46247.

PVF forms part of a HEFCE-supported project in the University known as HEROBC (Higher Education Reach-Out to Business and the Community).
