University wins prestigious equal opportunities award

Opportunity Now, the UK organisation working towards gender equality in the workplace, has awarded the University the Education Award in recognition of its achievements. The University scooped the award for its Raising Aspirations initiative - a series of developmental training programmes, including Springboard, Computer Literacy and Information Technology, and Supervisory Management, particularly aimed at lower paid female staff.
