Volcanic eruptions

Dr Gillian Foulger (Geological Sciences) is leading a team of international scientists to discover the facts about volcanic eruptions. Her experiments in Iceland show that volcanic eruptions do not come from the Earth's core, as has been widely thought, but are in fact only skin-deep. Reported in The Journal (14/05/03).
