Votes are Power Winner

Christophe Tuck (Business Finance, Queen's Campus) has won a national competition to encourage young people to vote in elections.

His short film showing the power that a young black man has when he uses the ballot box was voted the winner of the Votes are Power competition run by the electoral commission and will be shown in cinemas and on television.

Judges from the BBC, the Royal Academy for the Arts and the St Luke’s advertising agency chose Chris’s film as the winner as it ‘best expressed the importance and power of voting.’

He beat almost 1000 entries from 16-24 year olds and wins a placement with a top advertising agency. The photo shows Chris (on the right) with Richard Allan MP.
