Teacher training contracts in China

The Language Centre has been awarded two further teacher training contracts in China.
- A British Council (Shanghai) funded contract to train teacher trainers from Jiangsu Province. This will be the first stage of a 5-year project to improve English Language skills in the Province. The first stage will involve 15 teacher trainers form various parts of Jiangsu Province coming to Durham for a 10 week intensive course from August to early October 2003.
- A further contract from Boan Educational Department in South East China to train 30 English language teachers in Durham this summer. This is part of an on-going project with the Boan Educational Department.
