University to consider charging for parking

The possibility of introducing charges for car parking is on the agenda following a decision taken by the University's governing body, Council.

Council has approved a proposal to explore a range of options in relation to charging for car parking. The University is looking to address both the pressure on its car parks and how it can contribute to the overall issue of traffic management in Durham and Stockton.

Over the next few months there will be consultation and evaluation of the options.
