RS Study Day

On Monday 24 March 2003 the University of Durham will be hosting the North of England Institute for Christian Education’s annual study day for sixth form students working for AS and A2 level Religious Studies.

This will be the twentieth of these study days organised by NEICE, and we shall be welcoming a record number of over 770 students and staff from around 40 schools, some coming from afar afield as York, Leeds, Pudsey, Rotherham and Whitehaven.

The day will feature 40 lectures from some 30 scholars from the Universities of Durham and Newcastle upon Tyne, St John's College with Cranmer Hall, Durham, and other church bodies.

The Rt Revd Professor David Jenkins will give the final lecture on ‘The Failures of Religion and the Reality of God’.

The Study Day will be held in the Elvet Riverside Lecture Rooms of the University of Durham.
