Helping women start in business

(6 March 2003)

Durham University and York St John College are working on a project to examine whether women starting out in business in the country are given adequate assistance.

Funded by Yorkshire Forward the first part of the project is a workshop called Next Steps, which will look at women's ideas for small businesses, what they will need, who to market to and what their next steps should be.

Women thinking of starting their own business are invited to attend at Betty's Cafe in St Helen's Square, York on Tuesday 11 March 2003.

Reported in the Hull Daily Mail (04/03/03).
