Care home project a success

A ground breaking project aimed at reducing depression and improving the quality of life among elderly care home residents in York has been hailed as a success.

The two-year Care Home Activity Project received a £285,000 grant from the PPP Foundation. It was launched in January 2002 by the York Health Services NHS Trust, Selby and York Primary Care Trust and Durham University's Centre for Applied Social Services.
