Outstanding Achievement award for Durham academic

Professor David Knight (Philosophy) has been named the winner of the 2003 Sidney M. Edelstein Award by the American Chemical Society.

The award, for Outstanding Achievement in the History of Chemistry, will be presented to Professor Knight at a symposium held in his honour in New York later this year.

Professor Knights said he considered the award "an appreciation of history of science here in Durham".
