Member of The Tampere Club

Professor Anoush Ehteshami (Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies) has just been elected to a membership of The Tampere Club in Finland.

This is an invitation-only organization, where leading figures of philosophy, the social sciences, economics, the arts and politics have been invited to become members.

The purpose of the Tampere Club is to promote more profound understanding of our modern, multicultural information society. Anoush is one of only 5 Britains in the Club, which has as its members such figures as Mikhail Gorbachev, Jurgen Habermas, Hide Ishiguro, Manuel Castells, and Guillermo O'Donnell.
