Dr Geoffrey S Ivy

The University announces with deep regret the death of Dr Geoffrey S Ivy on Friday 29 March 2002.

Dr Ivy joined the University in 1954 as a Lecturer in English. He was promoted to a Senior Lectureship in 1964 and held this post until his retirement in 1988.

The funeral service will be held at 2.00 pm on Monday 8 April 2002 in Durham Cathedral. A private burial will be held later. Friends and colleagues are invited to refreshments in the Prior's Hall after the service.
