David James Grant, CBE, MA, DCL

The University announces with deep regret the death of Dr David Grant on 23 March 2002.

Dr Grant joined the Council of the University in 1976 and served as Chairman from 1985 until 1992. The University conferred the Honorary Degree of DCL upon Dr Grant in 1988.

The funeral will be held at 2.30 pm on Saturday 30 March 2002 at St Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Durham.
