Traders of LARP Weapons and Costume have been a big part of Nerd East for the past two years and again we have a fine line-up of traders already booked. Some specialised in foam weaponry, designed for LARP but also great for cosplay thanks to their lack of sharp, dangerous bits and others sell costume and leather goods for a variety of occasions.
This year we have:
Based in Durham, Character Kit sells a wide variety of LARP weapons and shields made by European LARP specialists Mythalon and Iron Fortress.
Saxon Violence produce a huge range of hand-made historical LARP weaponry, from bronze age daggers, through Roman gladius to 16th Century Gallowglass Axes, for all those who want a specific and authentic LARP weapon.

Eldritch is among the best known LARP traders with almost 30 years of weapons-making experience, selling a staggering range of weapons and shields as well as taking custom orders.
Nordavolk are a group of talented leatherworkers based in the North-East. They produce gorgeous leather masks, intricately decorated pouches and belts and authentic combs and hair slides. They sell both pre-made designs and take commissions.
The Costume Mercenary designs and produces all manner of high quality historical and fantastical clothing. She is responsible for many thoroughly researched dresses and jackets, as well as steampunk coats and more obscure items. She has many pre-made items, but takes commissions for all manner of outfits, be they for LARP, cosplay, weddings or operas.
Sanctuary Leathers produce a wide range of leather goods for LARP and Re-enactment, such as helmets, armour, pouches, bags and scabbard, made to order.
Another local trader, Aethertech Industries produce a great assortment of steampunk gear, military replicas, leather goods, armour, jewellery, peculiar plushies and crazed items covered in cogs.
And these are just the ones who have booked so far! Hopefully there will be more costume and weapons traders to come.
Coming soon… other traders already signed up for Nerd East 2012.
