Welcome to my web pages.

My research in digital imaging covers 3D computer graphics, computer vision and visualization technologies. I specialize in interdisciplinary research investigating the theory, human factors and application of (auto-)stereoscopic 3D displays.

The Durham Visualization Laboratory, which I founded in January 2004, supports these and other inter-disciplinary 3D research themes. We have a wide range of 3D displays, tracking/interaction devices and 3D capture systems.

My teaching covers 3D graphics, digital imaging and multi-media, students have the use of auto-stereoscopic 3D displays in our 3D teaching laboratory.

Stereoscopic Displays and Applications

Currently I co-chair Stereoscopic Displays and Applications the leading specialist conference on 3D Displays and their applications, held as part of the IS&T/SPIE Annual Symposium on Electronic Imaging in Silicon Valley, California.

I am a Fellow of the Wolfson Research Institute. The Institute seeks to improve the health and quality of people's lives by informing policy and practice.

I am a member of the Durham
Centre for Vision and Visual Cognition.
