Musicon Concert Series

Tickets and venue information

Tickets for Musicon concerts can be purchased for each concert as well as for the whole season in advance. Musicon offers special discounted tickets for people who wish to attend all the concerts in the Musicon 2012/2013 season. There are three types: Patron’s Season Ticket, Subscriber’s Season Ticket, and Student Season Ticket. All season tickets must be purchased direct from the University Music School (see ‘Purchasing Tickets’ for address), enclosing a cheque made payable to ‘Durham University’. Please allow seven days for processing.

 

Patron’s Season Ticket

If you would like to do more to support the arts in Durham why not become a Patron of Musicon? For a modest annual sum you will help perpetuate high quality professional music-making in Durham. £90 will include admission to all the concerts in the 2012/2013 Musicon concert series. In addition, you are invited to occasional wine receptions at which you meet Musicon artists. Musicon Patron’s are listed in all Musicon’s concert programmes.

 

Subscriber’s Season Ticket

The Subscriber’s Season Ticket includes admission to all eleven concerts in the 2012/2013 Musicon concert series for the discounted price of £70.

 

Student Season Ticket

The Student Season Ticket is available to all students for £25. The season ticket enables the holder to hear all eleven concerts. Please include a copy of your student identification when booking a student season ticket.

 

Student Tickets

Student tickets are available to all registered Durham University students.

 

Concessions

Concession priced tickets are only available to the registered disabled and unemployed. Please contact Karen Nichol for details at karen.nichol@durham.ac.uk.

  

Special Offer for People under the Age of 18

Tickets are available for many of our concerts at the special price of £1for under-18s. Please bring proof of identity and age (such as a letter from your school) when buying tickets in person. Musicon will only accept group bookings by post.

If you would like to receive information about Musicon, you can join our mailing list by completing the booking form in this brochure or by sending us an email at karen.nichol@durham.ac.uk. Please give us your name, address and email address (if available), and state clearly that you would like to join the mailing list.

 

Disabled Access

All venues used have good access for people with physical disabilities. If you would like a large print programme for any of the concerts, please inform Musicon one week before the concert by emailing karen.nichol@durham.ac.uk.

Gala Theatre (for all individual concerts)

In person, as well as by post. If requested by post, please enclose a SAE and a cheque made payable to the Durham County Council. They also take orders by telephone. They accept credit and debit cards: Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Switch.

On the door

CAR PARKING

 University Music School, Durham Cathedral, Dunelm House, College of St Hild and St Bede

A limited number of parking spaces are available on Palace Green. Customers are advised to use the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre car park, or the new car park beside Freemans Quay Swimming Pool.
