Level 2 (Second Year) Modules
The Centre for Foreign Language Study offers the following open language modules in French, German, Mandarin and Spanish, at level 2 (second year):

MLAN2101 | This is a level 2 module, for 2nd year students who have completed the Advanced French module (MLAN1141) successfully or equivalent. |

MLAN2041 | This is a level 2 module, for 2nd year students who have completed the Beginners' French module (MLAN1041) successfully. |
| French in its Context 2 | MLAN2071 | This is a level 2 module, for: * 2nd year students who have successfully completed the Level 1 'French in its Context' module (MLAN1071); * 2nd year students with an AS Level qualification in French. 1st and 3rd year students with an AS Level qualification in French may also apply for a concession to take this module. |
| German Language Consolidation | MLAN2031 | This is a level 2 module, for 2nd year students who have completed the Beginners' German module (MLAN1031) successfully. |

MLAN2061 | This is a level 2 module, for: * 2nd year students who have successfully completed the Level 1 'German in its Context' module (MLAN1061); * 2nd year students with an AS Level qualification in German. 1st and 3rd year students with an AS Level qualification in German may also apply for a concession to take this module. |
