The Centre for Foreign Language Study (CFLS) offers four ways to learn or practise a foreign language:

• The Languages for All programme: extra-curricular language classes open to students, staff and members of the public
• The Undergraduate Module programme: credit bearing modules open to students wishing to start or resume language learning as part of their degree studies (these modules are not open to students doing a degree in Languages) 
• The Postgraduate modules: a few credit bearing modules are available for postgraduate students requiring the reading knowledge of a language for research purposes 
• The Open Access Centre: a multi-media resource centre for language study and practice
