I've really enjoyed studying maths at Durham. There's a great choice of modules that cover all sorts of different topics, and I've been introduced to plenty of areas of maths that I never new existed. I particularly enjoyed my fourth year project, as it allowed me to investigate something I found really interesting in great depth.

I chose Durham because it offered the benefits of a modern, forward-looking university, with a traditional twist that makes it unique. This mixture is reflected in my degree course, where, whilst following a fairly classical mathematics syllabus, I have the opportunity to pursue diverse contemporary modules such as dynamical systems and operations research.
