Post-doctoral position

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Durham University invites applications for a PPARC-funded postdoctoral position in the Centre for Particle Theory, to begin in October 2008. Candidates with research interests in cosmology, elementary particle theory, string theory, and related areas of mathematical and theoretical physics are encouraged to apply. The position involves working independently and with other members of the Maths CPT group to advance the research supported by a PPARC Rolling Grant. The position will also provide the opportunity to interact with other members of the Department of Mathematical Sciences and members of the CPT in the Physics department.

The appointment is for a period of two years with possible extension for a further year. The post is at grade 7, with an initial salary of £27,466, (Spine Point 30.)
