Queen's Campus Library, Stockton
The Queen's Campus Library, Stockton is open for at least 101 hours each week in term-time and 40 hours per week during vacations. Full services are available 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, when demand is highest. Staff resources are concentrated during this period. Reduced services operate between 8.30 - 9.00 am and 5.00 - 8.00 pm Monday to Friday, and 2.00 - 6.00pm at weekends. Restricted services apply during self service hours after 8.00pm on weekdays, and before 2.00 pm and after 6.00 pm at weekends.
Services normally available during self service hours:
- Self-service machines for borrowing or items, and return of items via the book return drop in the Library and outside the entrance to the Library.
- Collection of reservations
- Photocopying facilities, including purchase of photocopying cards
- Purchase of printer credits
- Use of study facilities and networked PCs
- Online request forms, support and documentation
- Printed documentation
- Directional enquiries
- Microfilm and microfiche reading and copying facilities
Services referred to daytime staff:
- Retrieval of books and journals being processed
- Subject enquiries
- Registration enquiries
- Fines and invoice enquiries
- Enquiries about the progress of document delivery service loan requests
- Individual help for students registered with DUSSD
Services available when the Library is closed:
- Out-of-hours book return drop at the Library entrance
- Self-service facilities via the Catalogue for checking your library record, placing reservations, renewals and bookings
- Self-service facilities, via the Library web site, for placing store requests and submitting suggestions
- Library web site for general Library information, and access to electronic information resources
