Searching the catalogue
Enter the title of the journal you require in the title field of the catalogue, or in the quick search box and click on the journals button.
The display shows both our print and electronic journals side by side. Choose the title which includes 'electronic resource' to find the record for the e-journal. It also has an image of a computer to the right of the entry. If the journal is availble only in print you will not be given this option, and will be taken straight to the catalogue record.
You need to check the "Date coverage" to see whether we subscribe to the journal for the year in which the article you want to read was published. You can then connect directly to the journal by selecting the title.
We have an A-to-Z browse and catalogue search limit which allows you to focus solely on our e-journals. Once you find the title you require you will be directed to the full catalogue record for that journal.
The catalogue includes information about the journal and our holdings of a particular title.
The links take users to a variety of entry points, depending on the publisher which provides us with that particular journal. Sometimes, you will be taken straight to a title and will then need to select the year and issue to get the article you need. Other publishers first require you to search for the title of the journal within their database.
