Bill Bryson Library Group Study Rooms and Zones
The Bill Bryson Library has group study rooms located throughout the building. Rooms may be booked in advance for groups to use at via the online study room booking system. Group study room keys can be collected from the Help and Information desk and the key will be issued to the person who books the room. If the key is not collected after 15 minutes, the booking will be cancelled and the room released to another group. It is therefore important that you collect the key promptly. If you have any overdue books you will be unable to book or use a study room. As in other parts of the Library, no eating or drinking is allowed in the study rooms. Rooms should be cleared after use. Consecutive bookings by the same group are not permitted.
Study Room 3 West Wing is reserved for students registered with DUSSD, the University's service for students with disabilities. Details of facilities available in this room can be found on the Library's web pages for users with disabilities.
Please note that there is a fine of £1 per hour for the late return of a Group study room key.
Level 2 Entrance is designated as a group study area, where talking is permitted.
Data and power points are provided throughout the building as far as possible located in the desks or along the walls. Please make use of these facilities if you have group assignments to work on or need to discuss ideas. Silent study areas are also clearly zoned throughout the building.
