Who pays for DDS requests?

Use the table below to see who pays for your Document Delivery Service requests. Where the table indicates "yes" all the requests for this group will be charged to your department's account and the charge for the request will not be added to your Library record when the item arrives. Check with your department to see if you have a set number of free requests each year because you may be charged (by your department) for requests once you use up your allocation.

If you are an undergraduate, or if the cell in the table is marked "-" then you are not covered by the scheme and the charge for your Document Delivery Service requests will be added to your Library record when the item arrives. Charges can be paid with cash at the Library, using online payment or with DDS vouchers (if available from your department).

Departments which pay renewal charges are indicated in the last column of the table below. If your department is marked with a "-" or "NO" then you will have to pay the charge for any DDS renewals which you request. If the column is marked with "YES" then the department pays this for you.

If you are a member of more than one department (or a retired member of staff) then please contact DDS staff to ensure that your requests are charged correctly.
