Reference Resources

The Library provides access to wide range of print and online reference material.

Printed reference material for each subject is housed on the same floor as its main collection. This reference material is non-borrowable and may only be used in the Library.

The Library also has access to a wide range of online reference resources, which includes directories, encyclopaedia, and both subject and language dictionaries. Access to these resources is through the Online Reference page and they are available to users both on and off campus.

Encyclopedia of Philosophy

A reference tool covering all topics in philosophy, from all continents and all periods.

Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy

Reference tool for research and study developed by James Fieser (general editor). Articles include adaptations from public domain sources, adaptations of material written by the editor for classroom purposes, and original contributions by professional philosophers around the internet.

Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy

A reference tool covering all topics in philosophy, from all continents and all periods.

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy
A dynamic (continually updated) reference work with an archive of fixed editions. Still under development.
