The Library does not take any British newspapers on a daily basis. For most titles a selection of the day's news is included on the web site for the individual title. Many of these can be freely accessed on the internet. In addition, full text of news articles is added to the databases listed under Current Awareness, normally within 48 hours. These databases cover a wide range of titles with advanced archive searching. Note that this full text may exclude photographs and similar illustrative material and that some freelance articles may also be excluded for copyright reasons.
The Library also holds microfilms of some British newspapers, dating from 19th century with some emphasis on local titles.
