Frequently Asked Questions

Search Library FAQs

+I have found the article I want, but it only lists the author, title, date and a summary. How do I get the actual article?

Access to the full text of an item is usually dependent on the Library having a subscription to the journal in which the article is published. To see if the Library has the item you want in full text please check the catalogue. This will list all the electronic journals we subscribe to, and allows you to connect to the full text as well as pointing you towards print copies of the resource.

Not all databases subscribed to by the Library offer the “full text” of an article and many may only offer a citation or abstracts. If a ConneXions button is on the screen, this will guide you the full text article if we subscribe to it. If the Library does not have access, or have a copy you may wish to use the Document Delivery Service.
