- BBC Monitoring Online
This is news monitoring and translation service from the BBC World Service. Media reports from around the world are monitored and the important newsworthy items are then translated into English. The date coverage starts from 1979 and the database is incoorporated into Factiva.
Factiva is primarily a business information database. But it has an extensive coverage of news and current affairs sources from East Asian countries, including BBC Monitoring Online, Far Eastern Economic Review, China Daily, 中国剪报, 中国信息报, 星岛日报, 毎日新聞, 読売新聞 and is fully searchable.
Nexis UK has wider coverage of European language sources. There is some overlap of content between Factiva and Lexis-Nexis Executive. Unlike Factiva, there is no coverage of East Asian language sources in Lexis-Nexis Executive.
