Completed Queen's Campus Library Redevelopment

The redevelopment of Queen's Campus Library was completed in autumn 2011.
Quiet zone
Three distinct noise zones were introduced at Queen's Campus Library from January 2010 to cater for group work, quiet study and silent study. When Careers moved out of the Library at the end of June 2011 we were to enhance the quiet zone further by providing 16 additional study tables and 2 additional study rooms. Additional benching and computer chairs with power and data points were also added for students to use their own laptops in the Library.
Postgraduate study room
We also created a new Postgraduate study room in summer 2011 opposite the entrance to Queen's Campus Library, providing a dedicated study space for taught and research postgraduates and academic staff. The space vacated by the Aroma Cafe, which relocated to the ground floor of the Ebsworth building is now a light and bright study area. Please speak to a member of staff at the Help and Information desk to register to use the Postgraduate study room.
