Library Resources for Courses

We aim to provide students with access to all taught course reading material. In order to do this, we rely upon academic staff sending a copy of every reading list to the Library. For more information about the Library and taught-course reading lists, please see the Library Reading List Charter.

For Staff

If your reading list relates to an exisiting module, you need only update the library about any changes or additions. For new modules, send your whole reading list to the library. In either case, if you send your reading lists to the library by the 1st July 2012 and we can ensure the relevant materials are in place for your students for the 2012-13 academic year. This includes the digitisation of key book chapters and journal articles for easier access.

For students

Access your module reading lists in electronic format via the library pages or duo.

If an item which appears on your reading list is not in stock at the Library, you can:
  • Get in touch with your lecturer to ensure the Library has received the reading list
  • At certain times of year, request that the item is purchased via the More Books campaign
  • Get in touch with your departmental representative and ask for the item to be purchased
