1.3.2.3 Departmental English Language Levels for Entry on Condition of a Pre-Sessional Programme
1. The table below indicates University Pre-Sessional course attendance requirements for students not meeting the level for direct entry. For candidates presenting scores lower that the minimum entry level for a 12 week Pre-Sessional departments/schools may consider admitting on condition of requiring attendance and successful completion of 2 or more terms of the Year Round Pre-Sessional programme, to be agreed in consultation with the English Language Centre.

2. Students receiving 4 week Pre-Sessional offers will be issued with a combined CAS to allow applicants to obtain one visa to cover both the pre-sessional course and the degree programme if no other academic conditions exist against the programme offer.
3. Successful completion of a Pre-Sessional programme for students normally requires the student to achieve a Pre-Sessional exit grade of 'B' or higher.
4. Please note that there is a dedicated Pre-Sessional programme for Foundation Centre students.
5. The Foundation Centre reserves the right to admit candidates at the lower of the two specified levels, where other aspects of the applicant's overall academic and/or language profile are strong.
