1.2.1.7: The Queen's Campus Admissions Scheme in Detail
1. Introduction
1. The admissions process at the Queen's Campus, Stockton is managed by the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office.
2. The recruitment position at the campus differs from that in Durham and the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office works in close co-operation with other staff from the departments and colleges over the organisation of Open Days and other recruitment events.
2. Receipt of Applications
1. The Student Recruitment and Admissions Office in Durham will forward applications directly to departments.
2. Immediately upon receipt of a UCAS applications, the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office writes to candidates to acknowledge receipt of the applications.
3. Grading of UCAS Applications
1. The Student Recruitment and Admissions Office will send applications to the appropriate Admissions Selector for grading.
2. Admissions Selectors must indicate their decision on the DDS. The following grades must be used:
- Conditional offer to be made. Details of the offer should be specified on the DDS. Letters will be sent by the colleges to candidates who are made offers without interview, inviting them to attend a Queen's Campus Open Day.
- Unconditional offer to be made. Details of the offer should be specified on the DDS. Letters will be sent by the colleges to candidates who are made offers without interview, inviting them to attend a Queen's Campus Open Day.
- Interview
The Student Recruitment and Admissions Office is responsible for inputting the decision into DUGMAS.
4. Timetable for Processing
All candidates should be notified of the decision (offer, reject or interview) within four weeks of the University receiving the UCAS application.
