Biography
Chumpicha’s research aims to develop a framework for using international law as an interpretive tool in adjudicating human rights cases in Thai courts. The experiences of the United Kingdom and the United States will be analysed and compared. She currently explores the role of international law as a soft law in human rights cases in British courts both before and after the Human Rights Act 1998. The constitutional law of the United Kingdom is also of her interest as it dictates the extent to which courts can refer to international law when deciding domestic cases.
