Biography

Yuan Yuan Hui is a current PhD candidate in the school of law, Durham University. She obtained her LLM in International Commercial and Trade Law from Durham University in 2009.

Current Research

Under the supervision of Dr Mike Adcock and Dr Matthew Saul, Yuan Yuan Hui’s current research focuses on copyright law, especially the protection of copyright in the digital era in China. By analyzing and comparing the relevant experiences from the United Kingdom, the United States and selected European countries, the results of her study are expected to achieve a deeper understanding of how to balance the interests of the copyright holder and those of the copyright user. The outcomes from this study should help inform copyright protection in China.
