Biography

Mona Ahadi has a BA in Business Administration from Tehran, Iran and LLM in International Trade & Commercial Law from Durham School of Law, UK. She is currently a PhD candidate at Durham University under the supervision of Professor Tom. Allen and Mr. Chris Riley.

Current Research

Her research focuses on the adoption of the United Nations Convention on Contract for International sale of Goods' (CISG) grand principles and unification of international trade law. The study will also consider the Establishment of a New International Economic Order as an objective of the CISG and its impact on its ratification by developing countries and primarily Iran as a case study. To that end, the comparative study of both legal systems will be made.

It is expected that the results provide for a greater degree of certainty regarding the issue of ratification within developing countries and primarily Iran.
