Biography

Uche is qualified barrister and solicitor in Nigeria. She has a n LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law from Durham School of law U.K.

She is currently a PhD candidate at Durham University under the supervision of Dr Jonathan Mukwiri and Professor Tom Allen.

Current Research

Her research focuses on the United Nations Convention On Contracts for International Sale of Goods (CISG).  The research seeks to understand the reluctance of developing countries, particularly Nigeria, in adopting the Convention.

The current legal framework governing international trade in Nigeria is examined. Drawing from the experience of some developed countries that have adopted the Convention such as Germany and China, a case is made for the adoption of the Convention in Nigeria.
