Directions

The KTP Team is situated in The Mountjoy  Centre on the Durham University Science Site. We are easy to get to, either by public transport or car.

From the North & South (Motorway):

Approach Durham on the A1(M). Exit at Junction 62, taking the A690 West towards Durham City. Continue straight over the first roundabout towards the City Centre then turn left at the next roundabout onto New Elvet (A177). Cross the river and continue up the hill, bearing left at the next traffic lights. Turn right at the roundabout and then turn left into the University Science Park. Continue through the security barriers up the hill, take the left at the top of the hill and then second right into the car park where there are marked visitor spaces.  All visitors travelling by car need to display a valid parking permit. Permits can be arranged through the office.

• By Rail

There is a mainline railway station in Durham served by National Express, Virgin, and more local trains.

From the railway station it is approximately a 25 minute (hilly) walk to the KTP Office. There is a taxi rank at the northbound side of the station (signposted) and more ranks in the city centre.

• By Bus

The X1 bus stops at the Science Site main entrance.

The Park and Ride (Howlands) bus and several buses that leave from the bus station stop at the New Inn opposite the University Science Site. From here walk along Stockton Road to reach the main entrance to the Science Site and follow the directions above.
